Portfolio

In 2023, I was awarded a Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP) grant from Arts Council England, which supported a period of focused exploration and development within my practice.

This funding enabled me to explore new ways of working, extending my use of stitch, collage and
textile processes into largerscale, public and participatory contexts.

During this period, I experimented with new materials, techniques and approaches to scale, alongside more collaborative and socially engaged methods of making. This developmental workbecame the foundation for The Women’s Map project and directly led to two public art commissions, embedding participation, shared authorship and public engagement at the heart of my practice.

The DYCP process marked a significant shift in how I work — moving from primarily studio based making towards projects rooted in place, developed with communities, and shaped through collective processes. This portfolio brings together work created during and following this period, reflecting an evolving practice focused on collaboration, heritage, visibility and care.
